1. About us

PartiGift is a consumer-facing occasion brand operated by Gift Round Limited and powered by GiftRound. Gift Round Limited is registered in Scotland (company number SC515352), registered office 49 Castle View Drive, Bridge of Allan, Stirling, FK9 4BD. GiftRound is the collection platform that creates, hosts and redeems every collection started through PartiGift.

Gift Round Limited ("we", "our" or "us") provides and operates both PartiGift and GiftRound. You can reach us at hello@partigift.com, at Support@giftround.com for anything about a live collection, or by post at Gift Round Limited, 49 Castle View Drive, Bridge of Allan, Stirling, FK9 4BD. We answer support email Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.

2. What the words mean

• Collection means a group collection created through the service towards a birthday gift for a named child.
• Collection Organiser means the parent or legal guardian, aged 18 or over, who creates and manages the collection.
• Contributor means a person who pays into a collection.
• Gift Recipient means the birthday child the collection is created for.
• Collection Monies means the total contributed to a collection.
• Gift Card means the digital gift card issued for the total collected. For PartiGift collections the redemption destination is Argos. The card is provided through the GiftRound platform via Tillo Limited.
• Service means the PartiGift website and the GiftRound platform used to create, share, manage and redeem collections.

3. Accepting these terms

By creating a collection, contributing to one, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these terms; the version published here when you use the service is the version that applies. The GiftRound terms and conditions apply to the collection itself, alongside these terms.

4. Who can use PartiGift

To create a collection you must be at least 18, legally able to enter into a contract, and resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. Anyone can browse this website, but to contribute you must be resident in, and accessing the collection from, a country supported by our payment services provider. A contribution attempted from an unsupported country will be declined.

A collection for a child must be set up and managed by that child's parent or legal guardian. Children do not create collections, hold accounts, or make or receive payments through the service.

5. Your rights as a consumer

Nothing here affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contributions are voluntary gifts towards a birthday gift, not purchases of goods from us.

Once a contribution has been made it cannot be cancelled or refunded by us. If you want a contribution returned, that is a private matter between you and the Collection Organiser. If you think a payment was taken in error, contact us as soon as possible.

6. If you are the organiser

• Give accurate information about yourself and the collection.
• Only share the collection link with the people you are inviting, such as parents on the party invitation.
• Keep the child's details to a minimum. A first name and age are enough. Please do not add a surname, school, full date of birth, address or unnecessary photos.
• Use the collection for a private birthday gift only. Collections must not be used for charitable appeals, campaigns, causes, gambling, lotteries or raffles.
• Complete any identity or verification checks we or our payment partner ask for.
• Keep your account details and collection link secure.

As the organiser you are responsible for the collection, for the information shown to contributors, and for choosing the gift on the child's behalf. In handling payments we act as the disclosed agent of the Collection Organiser: contributions are paid to the fund for that organiser.

7. If you are contributing

• Only pay using a payment method you own or are authorised to use.
• Understand that a contribution is a gift towards the child's birthday gift and is not held on your behalf.
• Keep any birthday message lawful, respectful and free of unnecessary personal details about a child.

Contributing is always optional, and any amount within the limits below is fine.

8. Contributions and limits

Contributions are made in pounds sterling. The minimum contribution per contributor is £1 and the maximum is £250. A single collection must not exceed £3,000; if you expect to reach that limit, email Support@giftround.com before you start. If you contribute from outside the UK, your bank or card issuer may add its own charges, which are outside our control.

We may decline or reverse a contribution where we reasonably suspect fraud, error or a breach of these terms.

9. Fees

PartiGift is free to use. There are no setup fees, no contribution fees and no charge to send the gift, so 100% of every contribution goes towards the birthday gift. The only exception is where a collection has to be cancelled because it breached the restrictions in section 6: in that case contributions are refunded and a 10% administration fee is retained.

10. Payments

Payment processing for all contributions is carried out by Ryft Pay Ltd trading as Ryft, acting as our payment services provider, not by this website. Ryft's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.

11. Collection timing

A collection can accept payments for up to 60 days from the date it is created, after which no further contributions can be made. An organiser can bring the closing date forward or extend it, but not beyond 60 days from creation. Most birthday collections close on or shortly after the party, which is well inside that window.

12. Receiving the birthday gift

Once a collection has ended, the organiser has 6 months to claim the gift card for the total collected. Argos is the redemption destination for PartiGift collections. After that the collection is removed from the organiser's dashboard and the money is held by GiftRound for a further 6 months before being held indefinitely.

Gift cards are issued by us and provided via Tillo Limited. They are bought with collection monies in pounds sterling. The maximum aggregate value of gift cards in any one order is £1,000. A gift card is normally delivered by email within 24 hours of a valid request on a business day, and within up to 48 hours for requests completed at a weekend or on a public holiday. Please check the email address you enter: we are not responsible for cards sent to a mistyped address or held by a spam filter.

Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Any unused balance expires at the end of that period and is not available for use, reinstatement or refund. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be returned or refunded except where you have a statutory right to do so. Use of the gift card in store or online is also subject to the retailer's own gift card terms.

PartiGift is operated by Gift Round Limited and is not operated by Argos. Retailer names and trade marks remain the property of their owners.

13. Private collections, not public fundraising

A collection is a private gifting collection between an invited group. It is not listed or searchable, and only people with the link can see it. It is not crowdfunding or a public appeal, and it must not be promoted publicly.

14. Fraud prevention and security

We operate fraud, anti-money-laundering and security controls. We may cancel a collection and refund contributors where we reasonably consider its content to be offensive, discriminatory, misleading or connected with unlawful, unethical or inappropriate conduct.

15. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the service, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping, interfering with how it runs, or using it for any unlawful, offensive, misleading or abusive purpose.

16. Content and examples

Example invitations, names and amounts shown on this site are illustrative. Suggested invitation wording is a starting point. How you invite your guests is up to you.

All content, branding, software and design used in the service, including the PartiGift and GiftRound names and logos, are owned by or licensed to Gift Round Limited. You keep ownership of content you upload and give us a licence to host and display it to run the service.

17. Our liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. So far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your failure to keep your account or collection link secure. Our total liability for all other losses is limited to directly foreseeable loss if you are a consumer, and £500 if you are a business.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of terms implied by consumer legislation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

18. Data protection

We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy. Gift Round Limited is the data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZA503237.

19. Support

Email hello@partigift.com with anything about this website or about wording your invitation. Questions about a live collection, a contribution or gift card redemption go to Support@giftround.com, answered Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. Either way you reach the same company.

20. Suspension and ending access

We may suspend, restrict or end your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or engaged in fraud or other unlawful activity, or if we are required to by law, a court, a regulator or a payment or banking partner. You can stop using the service at any time.

21. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Scots law, and the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction. They are between you and Gift Round Limited; no other person has rights to enforce them. Formal notices should be sent to our registered office at 49 Castle View Drive, Bridge of Allan, Stirling, FK9 4BD.
